Update: JJB Sports

As reported in the media, due to the fact that JJB Sports has now gone into administration, 3Space has had to surrender the JJB units in our portfolio. These spaces will now close with immediate effect.

3Space would like to thank JJB Sports for the amazing opportunity that they gave us when they allowed us the chance to open up their empty shops portfolio. Working in partnership with 3Space opened up these untapped resources to be used by 34 charities and not for profits which in turn led to 14,500 individuals benefiting from access to them. We wish all the staff at JJB the best and hope that a solution can be found that will save as many jobs as possible.

During the period we worked with JJB from June 2011 onwards there was a huge variety of use and right across the UK, from Glasgow to Bury St Edmunds, Swansea to Salford. What continues to amaze us all at 3Space is the creative energy of our users and the imaginative ways that they used our spaces. Highlights include a circus school in Manchester, youth work in Walsall, theatre rehearsals in Bristol, and art exhibitions in Watford.

We look forward to taking on new units in the coming months and to working again with some of the excellent organisations who have used our units so far.
