3Space Keeton’s & Collett
A former college converted to an affordable workspace and London’s first Agri-Tech incubator - Green Lab
A former college in Bermondsey London awaiting redevelopment is now a 2,400sqm affordable workspace. Our BuyGiveWork initiative provides space for innovative 'Green Lab', Business Launchpad’s Youth Wellbeing Hub and space for local non-profits and social enterprises.
BuyGiveWork means for every desk purchased, one will be provided free of charge to a local non-profit, social enterprise, or experimental project. This is the first time the Buy One Give One approach (used from food to shoes) has been applied to property. It fills the space quickly whilst enabling experimentation and collaboration between locals and non-locals.
Green Lab is London’s first incubator workspace for urban farming entrepreneurs and ‘agritech’ startup businesses, working to create a new city community for sustainable food innovators in the capital and the country's expanding £14 billion agri-tech sector. This experimental project is explained in more detail in this article in the Guardian and a post on the Atlas of the Future
In late 2018 Urban Economists Hatch Regeneris completed an evaluation of 3Space Keeton’s & Collett which showed that 65% of businesses based there interacted with the local area more - to find out more detail about this project you can read the report here
